Tortoise Krunchies (Krunchy Kroutons) Tortoise Topping
Tortoise Krunchies was developed for herbivores in need of proper nutrition when it isn't possible to grow healthy forage items.
Most all tortoises and lizards find this a tasty treat when added to romaine, red leaf, or similar produce items should they be unable to hibernate. The use of cabbages, bok choy, and related items should always be avoided.
Krunchy Kroutons are simply measured, added, and mixed thoroughly.
All items in this mix are in dried form, and have been either wild harvested and/or are organic in origin. All have been carefully selected based on high fiber content, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, low protein, and excellent palatability.
No further supplementation should be necessary, but a cuttlebone or Tortoise Mineral Block may be offered to help keep beaks trimmed down, and to provide an additional source of calcium.
We recommend using a pinch for hatchling animals, 1/2 level teaspoon for animals up to 5 pounds, 1.5 to 2 teaspooons for animals up to 10 pounds, and one tablespoon for each 20 pounds thereafter, 2 to 3 times per week.

Get that much needed fiber into even the most stubborn tortoise!
This product is freshly ground when you order it.
Bermuda hay/grass is low in protein (about 8%), but high in fiber and vitamins A and D. Sprinkle it generously onto other food items if your tortoise won't eat hay, or just for something a little different!
