Wildflowers are like candy to tortoises, but they're also very nutritious.
Many of the species of flowers we offer are native forage for American Desert Tortoises, but are wonderful for any species.
Redfoots, Yellowfoots, Box turtles, Mediterranean Tortoises, Sulcatas, Spider, Elongated, Hingebacks and herbivorous lizards of all species love tasty wildflowers!
With the exception of a few cultivars, our seed is proudly hand collected and hand cleaned. It is not mass produced, and is open pollinated.
Please select from one of the wildflower subcategories above.

Forage Chicory
Forage chicory is a low growing rosette plant with broad leaves in the winter, very much like dandelion. With warm temperatures in the spring, it rapidly produces large numbers of leaves from the crown. In late spring, after the establishment year, a few flower stems begin to develop from the crown and will reach heights of 6 ft if left ungrazed.
This plant is best offered only occasionally as a treat, as it is higher in protein than many native plants. Packet:
